The Gold Rush, Yellow Jersey Films production for American Experience, has won the Erik Barnouw Award from the Organization of American Historians. The award committee said that the “film provides viewers with a truly fresh perspective on a familiar subject.” Produced and directed by Randall MacLowry, The Gold Rush premiered on PBS stations nationwide on November 6, 2006, and features stunning and rare daguerreotypes and beautiful 16mm dramatic reenactments. Available now on DVD.
